We originally came to H and R with the intention of just buying a few pieces of furniture for our home. We were greeted by Nikola and Rick's genuine hospitality. The furniture we ordered came in exactly when Nickola told us it would and the quality exceed our already high expectations. We were so impressed with H and R and the quality furniture they sale, that we decided to order additional pieces. Once again, the furniture came right on time and again, we were blown away why how beautiful and well made the furniture was. One of the pieces arrived from the manufacturer slightly damage . I called Nikola, and she was on the phone with the manufacturer immediately ordering our replacement. The replacement arrived at my home a few days later. The personal and profession service I have received from H and R and the outstanding furniture they offer at amazing prices has earned them a customer for life! I was on my way to the store but forgot the address at home so i made a call to information. I called the store and spoke to Rick he said the store was closed, and i could sense he knew i was upset, because he asked what i was looking for, i told him i was looking for 2 benches and he asked which ones. I described them to him and he said he had one in stock but the other he had to order, and he told me to not worry to go ahead and come in and he would take care of me, even thought THE STORE WAS CLOSED. I have never ever had that kind of service. For someone to stay open even after the store is closed to help out a customer is unheard of. My daughter recently transferred from Syracuse in Upstate NY to the Univ. of Houston. We had about 4 weeks to find an affordable apartment and furnish it - much of the searching done via the Web. My budget for furniture was $3,000. After several Google searches on the general topic of discount furniture, I found my way to H & R. The website was very easy to navigate and prices were displayed (which was extremely helpful for budgeting purposes). I could tell from the prices that these were truly discount - what I was seeing was exactly what I had seen at other Houston furniture stores only H & R was selling for about 30% LESS. I thought that perhaps the catch was a 2-3 week delay in delivery, which would not work for us. I e-mailed the store on a Sunday morning and received a reply from Nikola within a few hours - that level of attention to customer service impressed me. Delivery is not delayed; generally H & R delivers in 2-3 days for items in stock at their distributors. Staying within budget we were able to order a bedroom suite including mattress and boxspring, a sofa and loveseat combination, 4 living room tables, and a dining table with 4 chairs. Delivery was arranged for the day we planned to arrive in Houston and take possession of the apartment. Because mattresses really need to be "tried out," Nikola arranged to have both of the potential mattresses we were interested in at the store on the day we were to arrive so my daughter could pick the one she wanted - it would then be added to the rest of the delivery on that day. This type of flexibility does not happen with any other furniture store I have ever dealt with. Further, upon our arrival in Houston, we discovered a significant error had been made by the apartment management with respect to the apartment we thought we had rented - the apartment management released us to find another apartment if we could. God was with us and we were able to find another apartment within a few hours that we could move into that day! Of course, this meant a change in the delivery address and it delayed our arrival at the store to try out the mattress. We arrived at the store about mid afternoon and chose the mattress. Because mattresses and boxsprings are fairly large and get loaded first, Ricky hadn't been able to load the delivery until we arrived at the store. Even though the delivery had been delayed and modified by our problems, Ricky still delivered everything to the new address and set it up that day as originally planned - not finishing until almost 7:30 PM. THANK YOU SO MUCH. This level of flexibility and willingness to work late in order to help out the customer is rare in my experience and not typical of a large chain or megastore. Houston is fortunate to have H & R furniture. Any future furniture purchases will definitely be from H & R.

Me and my husband were shoping for a new bedroom set. After viewing some of the furniture online, we decieded to check out the store in person. After visiting many of the bigger furniture stores we were happy to find some of the same items at a much cheaper price. We purchased a new bedroom set and even recieved a discount on a mattress set! I purchased a bedroom, dining room and sofa from H&R Furniture about a month ago and I am so pleased with it! The prices are GREAT! I shopped around Houston and when I found this store I bought everything here and saved alot of money....thanks H&R....I have been telling everyone about this store.....I will be back when I need other furniture....

Title: Awesome prices!
We bought the London bedroom suite with a queen mattress, the Stonewall sofa, loveseat, and chair & a half, and the Harrah dining set! We had seen all three at other stores for way more. You can't beat the prices and the service is friendly. We will definitely shop here again.
